Winter paradise

You don’t actually have to do anything very energetic on your holiday at Chalet Vache Bleue, we have plenty of guests who just love the magic of being surrounded by snow. For those of you that are coming to immerse yourself in the snow here is some inspiration:

Skiing and Snowboarding

The Three valleys area is the largest ski domain in the world, offering more than 600 km of groomed runs plus extensive off-piste terrain all accessible via almost 200 lifts.

Meribel occupies the centre valley within the Three Valleys giving you easy access to the entire area. A true snow mecca, there are runs to suit every level, plus park areas and extensive off-piste. The area is snow sure thanks to the Northerly aspect, more than 70% of skiable terrain above 2000m and an extensive network of snow cannons servicing the area.

Walking

When you need a change of pace nothing beats walking on the marked footpaths which criss cross the area. Taking advantage of the free shuttle bus and if you wish the lifts that are open to pedestrians with a Pedestrian Pass you can experience many of the Villages and quiet spots throughout the area.

Good walking shoes are needed or you can try Snow-Shoeing to really get off the beaten track. Guides and lessons are available if you are just starting out

Just like the ski runs the paths are cared for on a regular basis and you can check each day which paths have been “groomed”
